created in response to the phrase "the line of best fit" Zoe photographed desire lines in the city -created by people taking the path of least resistance from one point to another. Over time this wears away the ground into a new path, created intuitively to suit the needs of those who walk there.

work focuses on representing the geography of the world, and takes inspiration from mapmaking and the language that maps use. In her practice I=she explores the idea of an ever-changing place, through organic patterns, subtle colour changes and geometric shapes to represent the terrain. Creating new boundaries to suggest a broader landscape and represent the geography of the land. What is created represents something about the world be it of physicality or experience.

practice explores the relationship between the real and the illusory and is interested in the tension between three-dimensional tangible surfaces and illusionistic facsimile and their roles in altering our spatial perception. Using a combination of print and sculpture, raw materials and photographic images she encourages the viewer to question how they interact with and understand what they are seeing.

the youngest exhibitor to the line of best fit - a spirited 20 month old who likes spinning in circles, jumping in puddles and eating raspberries. This was Flora's first public art exhibition. A colourful squiggle of scribbles and homemade ink and paint, Flora's cheerfully expressive work is a joy to behold.

working in paint,  print and across media when the situation demands. Using digital means to create 'perfect' forms and images before recreating them through a human filter by her own erring hand. Interested in perception, the human perspective and capability to accept contradiction is a central theme in her work.

Through vision the subject is filtered and goes out from the hands - for this process mediums used such as charcoal or paints to draw from a live model. Art has the ability of being didactic in the honor of something, to remind us what there is to love.  The ultimate goal is that it lives and that people now and in the future seeing it empathize with the persons involved in the creation

practice combines minimalist sculptural forms with video and contains an element of performance. By stripping away the unnecessary he forces us to focus on our own reality with a sense of wit and irony. Other thematic interest include; the material, the void and raising questions about the nature of the artwork. The artworks must not be constrained by the authors intended meaning, imbued at its creation, but in the mind of the viewer and the context in which they experience the work.

katariina yli-malmi

photography and video based art focussing on the presentation of female body at the 21st century western culture. Through my work I try to recognize the issues, where they arise from and how that constructs our body image. I am looking at this subject matter through art and planning to extend my photography towards documentary ways of working.

The work is exploring the phenomenology of a single room: perception of the room, physical relationships between things and how the physical dimensions of an object can define the parameters of a drawing. Each line drawing depicts ordinary objects within that room, and each drawing is made with a single piece of string the length of the item that it depicts.
